Our Vision

At Sunridge Elementary, a STEM-focused school of accountable and mindful students, we develop model citizens and youthful innovators who achieve academic and social success. We provide our students with opportunities to develop their creativity through increased exposure to STEM; we infuse STEM into all core subjects. We encourage students to think and act like scientists and utilize technology daily. We incorporate the engineering design process to solve real-world problems and focus on mathematics as a daily function of our lives.

Staff

Thank you, Ms. Lopez and Ms. Ferrer, for all your hard work in getting all of our students in classes and where they need to be in PowerSchool. We all appreciate the hard work you have done.

A Message from Our Principal

Greetings Sunridge Families!

My name is Matthew Stewart. I have served as your assistant principal for the last three years and it is my honor to serve my first year as principal here at Sunridge. This will be my 14th year in the Fowler District. I married my wife 24 years ago, I have three children and one grandchild.

After high school, I served in the U.S. Army for 4 years and then drove a semi-truck for 10 years before beginning college. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Ottawa University and earned my Master's in School Administration from the University of Phoenix.

It is our goal at Sunridge to provide each and every child with top of the line education. We plan to do this by working with you and your child to provide individualized education, both academically and socially, with the goal of helping our parents to produce engaged, productive members of society.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly by email at or call the school at (623) 707-4600 if you have any questions or concerns.

We are very excited about this school year and look forward to working with you! Go Sidewinders!

Sincerely,

Matthew Stewart
